Like most artistic pursuits, the photographer is never totally happy with his work. The creative process is evolutionary -- a process of joyful discovery.

The work I'm doing today may not be the work I'll be doing tomorrow -- and that does not concern me because I know the journey is more important than the destination. This seemingly obvious fact to most people has taken me almost a lifetime to understand.

So, I invite you to visit again and share your thoughts and impressions of my work by sending me an
e-mail with your comments.

Thanks

I originally planned to be a commercial artist - that changed when I discovered photography. My portfolio was accepted by the Art Center School in California; but, I could not raise the money for the tuition.

So I took a less expensive path: The University of Memphis (my hometown) where I majored in Advertising. While in school, I worked at WHBQ-TV in the production department, art department, and was a photographer.

I have spent most of my career in Advertising that has included Director of Advertising for First Union and several years in the adverting agency business.

Today, I'm actively working towards learning more about fine art photography and developing some commercial business.
